If you are looking for a pickup truck you can trust for tough work in Dixon, Illinois, look no further than the Nissan Frontier. This well-built truck ranked highest in its segment for dependability in this year’s J.D. Power evaluation.
The J.D. Power Dependability Study, now in its 32nd year, is a comprehensive review that uses eight vehicle categories to cover a total of 177 possible problems vehicle owners may endure.
The J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Studyused data records from 2018 model year vehicle of all auto brands and segments, assessing the frequency of problems encountered during the most recent year of vehicle ownership.
Then, researchers calculated the number of problems per 100 vehicles to determine a score. The lower the score, the better: A low score means the vehicle has a higher dependability rating with fewer reported issues. In its segment of midsize pickup truck, the 2018 Nissan Frontier got the best score with the lowest reported rate of problems.
“The Vehicle Dependability Study is a great validation of a vehicle’s true quality because it comes after three years of real world, everyday use,” said James Moss, vice president of Total Customer Satisfaction for Nissan North America. “Earning the top spot in the competitive midsize truck segment is an immense point of pride for us.”
